Front End Developer
Edenspiekermann is looking for a skilled frontend developer who enjoys working on the bleeding edge of technology. We’re building websites and web applications from small to large scale, from frontend to backend, from concept to implementation and we need support when it comes to frontend coding. Some buzzwords surrounding our coding workflow: Scrum, Responsive Webdesign + Mobile First, Git, Rails, Middleman, Sass, Haml, jQuery. Furthermore we abandoned huge, static Photoshop templates long ago and design in the browser as much as possible.
You might be our man or woman …
… if we could tweet you in the middle of the night asking for the distinction between floats and inline-blocks.
… if your semantic markup reads like poetry.
… if you could not imagine going back to plain CSS because you already converted to the Sass-side of coding.
… if you’re comfortable using version control, preferably Git.
… if (yourJavascriptKnowledge > Experience.BEGINNER) { … }
… if you share our profound hatred for old Internet Explorer (by the way, we’re phasing out support for IE7 in most of our projects).
We know that nobody’s perfect and we don’t expect you to be. The person we describe above probably doesn’t exist – but if at least some of the statements make sense to you, we would like to talk.
And just to be clear: We would never wake you up in the middle of the night! Promised!
Please include your earliest start date and contact Sybille Schwarz: jobs@de.edenspiekermann.com.
JavaScript Developer
Edenspiekermann is looking for a skilled developer who enjoys working on the bleeding edge of web technology and has a strong focus on JavaScript development.
We’re building websites and web applications from small to large scale, from front end to back end, from concept to implementation and we need support in JavaScript programming. You’d work full-time and on-site at our office in central Berlin. We provide an awesome, friendly and cooperative working environment in an international team.
Some keywords surrounding our workflow are: Scrum, Responsive web design + Mobile First, Git, jQuery, backbone.js, CoffeeScript, Rails, Middleman, Sass, Haml. Furthermore we abandoned huge, static Photoshop templates long ago and design in the browser as much as possible.
You might just be the person we’re looking for if …
… you’ve got a profound understanding of JavaScript as a programming language and core software engineering concepts.
… you’ve no problem digging into other people’s code in order to maintain and improve what is already there.
… you continously strive to stay on top of the latest web technologies.
… you’re comfortable using version control, preferably Git.
… you’ve already gained insight into the Ruby ecosystem consisting of the Ruby language itself and tools like Haml + Sass + CoffeeScript + Rails/Middleman.
Please note: The aforementioned points describe an ideal. Nobody is perfect and we don’t expect you to be. If you can find yourself in the majority of the statements, don’t hesitate to apply – we are eager to talk to you!
