“Das Bosch-Berufe-ABC” (The Bosch Professions ABC), book 14x20 cm, 28 pages with a 16-page painting book, first edition 20,000 copies, available at the Bosch Merchandise Shop
Approximately 300,000 colleagues in around 150 countries make sure that the Robert Bosch company writes industrial history internationally, and not just in Germany. That’s why, to mark its 125th company anniversary, Bosch will be celebrating the people responsible for its enormous success: the Bosch workers, traditionally affectionately known as “Boschlers”.
One of the many measures this involves is a picture book: the Bosch Professions ABC. It helps parents explain their working day to their children. Edenspiekermann worked together with Bosch on the contents, and came up with a design concept that shows different professions in the company in a way that is fun and exciting for kids.
The detailed and diverse illustrations of Bosch professions naturally calls forth the interest in engineering of the youngest, both boys and girls. René Ziegler, Senior Communication Manager, Bosch Diesel Systems
A part of the first edition was distributed to children and parents on Experience Day (the big Bosch visitor and family day) in Stuttgart-Feuerbach. This valuable book in a practical soft cover will still be available in the Bosch merchandise shop after the 125th company anniversary has passed. That way the Bosch kids can continue to take the journey of discovery through the world of Bosch professions.
We are proud that our client has been brave enough to make such an unusual project possible – and shows to be very content with the result: “I would like to emphasize how wonderful I find the finished product. The illustrations and text bring a smile to my face continually – as an adult and a Bosch employee. Both illustrations and texts have become truly super. The attention to detail in the illustrations is remarkable. I am sure that both young and old readers will enjoy the final product.”
