New name, logo and identity for parking management company

Amsterdam is a world class city on an extremely compact scale. It’s not surprising that many people call this town ‘the global village’. A compact city with lots of visitors and activity places high demands on accessibility and quality of life. This also applies to parking policy and parking management.

In Amsterdam, Cition manages and maintains paid parking outdoors. The company started in January 2010 as an independent service of the municipal organization. Edenspiekermann helped to position the new company in a rapidly changing competitive arena.

The name ‘Cition’ is derived from the words ‘City’ and ‘On’ and signifies that the city should always continue to flow. The characteristic log band pattern refers to the rhythm of parking spaces and secures a strong recognition of the Cition controllers in the hectic streets of Amsterdam.
