Website for FontFont label
Result
FontFont, the world's largest independent digital font library (from FSI FontShop International) has received a new face. FontFont comprises 730 contemporary typeface families (with around 2300 designs) by 161 type designers – the best there are.
“By designers, for designers” is a motto that ought to be reflected in the functions of the new website. In order to achieve this, Edenspiekermann worked side by side with FontShop. This cooperative development and design process has created a complex website, yet one that is simple to use. The core element is the easy to use font view in the respective browser: font weights can be selected directly, viewed at extremely large scales and tested with any given text. The adaptive layout enables the best possible view for each screen format, which is a huge advantage. The new content structure and sorting function allows both novices and experts ease of use, whether for inspired rummaging (“Browse”) or for fast, specific searches (“Find”).
The pricing system takes into account the configuration of each typeface family, plus the number of weights and language options. Certain bestsellers such as FF DIN, FF Kievit, FF Fago or FF Unit have become notably cheaper.
The FontFont library does not only look much better after its redesign; the complete service process has been improved in functionality and ease-of-use.
