Sylvania Lighting International (SLI) suffered from poor recognition due to inadequately defined profiling. Wasted effort, especially when you have much to offer in terms of quality. Therefore, the international organisation wanted to define its corporate strategy and update its organisational identity.

Edenspiekermann developed a new corporate identity for Havells Sylvania (formerly SLI), one that gave the company a quality brand experience to match its ambition. Besides, Havells Sylvania now exudes the international allure it requires to achieve its growth targets.

Havells Sylvania is the parent company of a number of very well known lighting brands such as Sylvania, Concord:marlin and Lumiance. Edenspiekermann initially combined the name of the largest product brand, Sylvania, with the corporate brand to SLI Sylvania. That was beneficial for recognition and perception of the parent brand. After acquisition by Havells India Ltd. the name and logo changed to Havells Sylvania.

Edenspiekermann defined the corporate profile and developed the new strategy. This led to a new logo and a new identity. We gave the logo a suitable ‘light beam’, featuring the colours of all the product brands. Thus, the corporate brand illustrates its rich palette of products. At the same time, it links all the individual product brands to the corporate brand.

Havells Sylvania unveiled its new image with a strong, distinctive exhibition stand at the Light + Building Fair in Frankfurt. Edenspiekermann developed this stand in collaboration with Wit Design.

Havells Sylvania is now strongly and confidently positioned within the international market. With sites in 50 countries, Havells Sylvania is an international player in the field of lighting, armatures, and integral lighting solutions. Thanks to its new image, the company is able to service all these markets in the appropriate manner.
