The Stadgenoot housing association is keen to open dialogue with its fellow city dwellers. After all, this is the only way to find out what everyone’s wishes are, in order that you can respond to them properly.

How do you illustrate that you really want to work like this? Not by telling your own story yourself but by having your target groups do so. To that end, Edenspiekermann is developing a corporate story for Stadgenoot in which Amsterdammers have their say. They tell their story in 13 city stories about what a nice place to live means to them.

These stories are provided through short films at stadgenoot.nl/stadverhalen, and through interviews in a brochure. Such themes as contact with neighbours, varied living, sustainable building, and resident participation are dealt with in a light-hearted fashion.

As particularly striking quotes are highlighted, the scanning reader can still pick up a lot of the contents.
