Capital Amsterdam: 400 years of financial history

Thursday 19 November mayor of Amsterdam Job Cohen and chairman of De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB Nout Wellink open the exhibition Capital Amsterdam. Edenspiekermann designed the exhibition in the Amsterdam City Archives.

The exhibition shows 4 centuries of rich Amsterdam history using objects, photos and stories from archives and several museum collections.
The visitor imagines himself on the roof of the City Archives and has a view over the financial institutions in Amsterdam.

Their locations, functions and their ups and downs are represented. They concern famous institutions such as the VOC and De Nederlandsche Bank.
