To celebrate the ‘Festival of Freedom’, over 1000 giant dominoes were toppled to symbolise the chain reaction throughout Germany, Europe and the world after the fall of the Berlin wall. The design for one oversize styrofoam domino at the Brandenburg Gate was made by Edenspiekermann.

Under the motto ‘Open since 1989’, Edenspiekermann designed and produced one of two dominoes for Coca-Cola Germany. This was based on a contents concept developed by the Frankfurt PR agency Klenk & Hoursch. The motif represents the neck of an opened Coke bottle and consists of 675 handwritten Post-its with thoughts on the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall. Young people, artists and politicians from around the world participated in the campaign Mauerfall 09 to celebrate the event.
