Introducing the ESPI Couches

Edenspiekermann’s value lies in the expertise, enthusiasm and passion that our people bring to the table. Our biggest challenge is often not the work itself, but rather how to expand on our existing skills. We’ve long been craving a platform where we can share, learn and develop new ideas that go beyond our daily projects. So we invented one.

Our first step was ESPI Clouds, infrequent team meetings with no purpose except the exchange of ideas and experiences. This was a great start, but we quickly realized that we needed something more regular, and more open.

The answer was ESPI Couches, a weekly event open to everyone, and a place to network, learn, and discover.

ESPI Couch #1: Design Couch

Every Tuesday, we sit down on the sofas and put our creative heads together. Expect a short presentation, questions, and plenty of design discussion.

What’s on the agenda?
Topics will vary from one week to the next. You’ll hear about new tools and techniques, the latest wisdom from the design cosmos, and much more. There’s input from our team members as well as guest speakers. Each Design Couch starts off with a short presentation on a topic we find interesting.

Who can come?
It’s all in the name: Design Couch is where all the designers at Edenspiekermann come together. It’s a truly interdisciplinary event, where branding experts and print designers meet with their colleagues in digital and service design—this mix of ideas and expertise is what Edenspiekermann is all about. But we’re also about openness: every ESPI Couch is open to every member of the team.

Why do we do it?
We want to give our designers the inspiration and new perspectives that come from great discussions with passionate people.
