Aletta, Institute for Women’s History, has a new website designed by Edenspiekermann.

Aletta was known as the International Information Centre and Archive for the Women’s Movement (IIAV) until August 2009. On 11 August the new name ‘Aletta’ and the new website were presented by Minister Plasterk.

The new website www.aletta.nu allows visitors to efficiently search and find information on women and women’s history. One integrated search engine gives access to all the collections and databases. The search application is very easy to use: visitors are only one click away from the information relevant to them. The information is enriched by new online services. In the near future the website will be extended with an online shop and library.

Edenspiekermann was not responsible for the development of the logo and visual identity. The website was built by de Ontwikkelfabriek.
