Yesterday, the leading European design conference opened its doors. Themed “Passion”,
the 15th TYPO Berlin highlights the future of the written word.

For 3 days, more than 50 international experts in the fields of graphic, design, web, economy and arts will reveal their passion to a wide public; among them are Erik Spiekermann and Christian Hanke.

FontShop and TYPO founder Erik Spiekermann opened the conference yesterday with his speech on “Things I cannot stand & what makes me truly happy!”. He explained why he loves the small “a” just as well as marzipan, and why he detests “Arial” and drinking coffee out of paper cups. On the conference’s last day Christian Hanke, Design Director at Edenspiekermann, will reveal his inner passion for the perfect espresso.
